Dear Friends and Families,
Project PLASE provides essential housing and support to approximately 450 individuals in their Transitional and Permanent Housing programs each year, and thousands over the past 41 years. They address homelessness by providing transitional housing, permanent housing and supportive services to homeless adults. They serve the most vulnerable and underserved. On May 18, our Mount View Middle School is celebrating 25th Anniversary. To help children of these families that Project Plase supports, Prakash Saraf is organizing a toy drive for children. Items that would bring a smile for these children are gently used toys, bicycles, books, and small kids clothes. There will be a silver-grey pick-up truck parked alongside with a banner to identify the drive. If you have any items you can part with, it would be appreciated. Thank you! Ready, set, go! It's May! Let's start filling up our textile recycling bin so we can earn extra award money for our PTA to use on our students! Thanks to everyone who held off donating their bags until this month!
Hello!
MVMS will be hosting a Book Fair from March 19-23. We are looking for volunteers to help make the event successful! Please click this link and sign up if you are available for a slot (or more!) during that week. Thank you! Mary & the Book Fair Team Hello 8th Grade Families,
It is tradition that the 8th grade activities committee of the PTA runs concession stands for the school play on March 16th and 17th and the March Madness Basketball Tournament on March 22nd. Not only are concession sales a service to the school community, but also proceeds from concession sales are used to fund supplemental activities at the 8th grade end of year picnic that have included in the past tie dying shirts, bringing in the Kona Ice truck and raffling off MRHS spirit wear. Below is a goggle spreadsheet with a list of items that are needed for concession sales - the more items that are donated the more we can fund the end of year picnic. Please consider donating an item or two and sending it into school by next Wednesday March 14th. Bake sale items can be delivered Friday March 16th. If it is easier for you to donate money that we can use to buy these supplies that is not a problem - please send in money in a envelope marked PTA Concessions and it will get to us. Suggested donation is $10 but any amount is welcome. Thank you so much for your support, 8th Grade Committee Interested in taking on a leadership role through PTA next year?
